The visit of Clinton to India is not likely to bring any aid benefits to India, but it will definite improve relations between the two countries, which in turn is likely to increase investment in India and trade relationships. But not for a moment should you think that the visit was motivated by any charitable thoughts towards the “poor largest democracy”. The reasons are purely commercial. India is today too large and expanding market to be ignored by consumer starved industry of the west with idle capacities.
