Services sector is not getting adequate finance from the banking sector as of today. Most of
the financing is on the basis of the personal worth of the entrepreneur or the Net worth of
the corporate. This is double edged, as on the one hand these activities are not able to
reach their potential, on the other banks are unable to book business from almost half the
economic activity of the country. From some of the recent announcements made by RBI, it appears that the Central
Bank is siezed of the matter and some policy to finance this sector is being worked out.
