The job of a probationary officer in nationalised bank is no longer what it used to be 10-15 years ago, simply because too many other and more lucrative opportunities are available in the market for a technolgy savvy guy. But having said that, I must admit that if you are one of those security-first types, there is no better job. The work environment is cozy and laid back with very little backbiting. But do not look for too many rewards too quickly as every thing there comes to you in a queue. I hope you have got the reply. If you need to know more, you can ask specific questions.
