State Bank of India to enhance its branch image


State Bank of India is planning to introduce a uniform “look and feel” for their branches to enhance its branch image. This is sought to be achieved by laying down a standardised visual identity in terms of exterior façade, interior decor, the colour scheme, the design as well as the dimensions of the counters, furniture & fixtures, lighting, ceiling and flooring and the quality specifications for the materials to be used for the above purpose.

Exterior façade design will include colour scheme for the exterior, positioning of the signage, banners/ boards. Interior layout will include placement of counters, desks of various branch functionaries, location principles of various work-areas i.e. Customer Waiting area, Sales and Service area, Virtual Back Office (VBO) and the Self Service area (24x7 lobby), toilets, pantry and record room etc.

State Bank wants uniformity in the furniture and fixtures for individuals, enclosures (wherever required), the customer space and furniture for them, height of the cabins, counters, desks and chairs etc. The design , dimensions, colour and finish of each type of furniture.

For this purpose, an Architect /Interior Design firm is intended to be engaged by State Bank of India for preparing a Design Manual.
