Bank of Baroda (BOB) has ambitious plans for expansion abroad

Bank of Baroda (BoB), as part of centenary year 2007-08 has ambitious plans for expansion abroad. BOB palns to enter new geographies like Trinidad & Tobago, Ghana, Australia, Bahrain, Canada, New Zealand, besides expanding / upgrading its existing network in UK, China, Malaysia, South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya and Botswana.

The Bank is also exploring other markets like Russia, GCC countries like Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia. In all, the Bank plans to open at least 10 overseas branches / offices during the centenary year.

Bank of Baroda, one of the earliest Indian banks to venture into international banking arena has presently 62 branches / offices spanning 21 countries in 5 continents.
