Central Bank of India is the exclusive Official Banking Partner to Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games

The prestigious XIX Commonwealth Games scheduled to be held in October, 2010 at Delhi is one of the proudest moments of our Country. It not only signifies the confidence reposed in our Country to host such an internationally acclaimed sporting event but also an opportunity to show-case our country’s capabilities and brings out the power of the youth.

Central Bank of India, one of the largest nationalized banks in India, is the exclusive Official Banking Partner to Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games. It is indeed a historic event for the Bank to have gained this enviable position on the eve of its ensuing Centenary Year in 2011. The Bank with a pan India presence with over 3,500 branches is highly techno-savvy with state of the art facilities. The Bank is gearing up itself to meet the needs of those who would be associating with the prestigious Games. It has plans to set up about 25 ATMs including mobile ATMs and a few new Branches exclusively to cater to the needs of the national and international players, delegates, visitors and all those connected to the Games.

The first of such ATMs has been installed in the NDMC premises where the Organising Committee of Commonwealth Games is functioning at Delhi and the same was inaugurated on 3rd February 2010.The function was attended by Shri Suresh Kalmadi, Chairman, Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi, Shri Parimal Rai, Chairman, NDMC, Shri S Sridhar, Chairman and Managing Director, Central Bank of India, the Board of Directors of the Bank and other high level dignitaries of the Bank and Organising Committee of the Commonwealth Games.

The ATM will facilitate drawal of cash any time using Debit Card/Credit Card issued by any Bank in India and abroad.



The Bank also will make available several facilities through its existing Branch network as well as the proposed Branches. Such facilities include:-

- Opening of accounts
- Issue of Credit/Debit/Prepaid Cards
- Remittance through RTGS/NEFT
- Issue and payment of Travellers Cheques/International Currencies
- Forex remittance into and outside India
- Credit facilities in eligible cases
- Bring out unique prepaid card product which will facilitate purchases within the Games area or outside in Delhi without the need to carry cash
- Facilitate e-commerce through e-payment gateway to enable purchase of goods and services including purchase of air tickets.

Overall, the Bank will be taking care of all the needs of the Games and CGAs comprehensively with state of art technology and world class service.
