Subject: Bank charges for cheque books
Message : I a teacher in Economics and my salary account is in Allahabad Bank. Recently they issued a cheque book, containing 20 cheque leaves. They charged Rs 40/- for that, ie, Rs.2/-, per cheque leaf. I never had such an experience ever from any other bank. Would you please clarify the existing law regarding cheque book.
