Subject:	ECS clearing without consent
Message :	I have taken a personal loan from Standard Chartered Bank. Yesterday i found on my statement a cheque returned fees, on enquiring i was told that it was towards ECS rejects of my SCB a/c ( which is inactive for a long time) I have always been giving HDFC bank cheques for settling the card payment. Can a bank like Std Chartered directly touch my account for ECS clearances ???? and secondly also charge me for rejects ?
