Subject: What is phishing?
Message : Phishing is a term used for the act of hunting naive internet users by crooks in the web world or "Phreaks" for the purpose of getting confidential personal information like user ids and passwords of their internet banking accounts, and using this information for stealing funds and commiting other crimes. The most common type of attack is by a fake email which looks similar to a genuine mail sent by the bank. the mail generally asks users to provide such information on a form provided. The user unaware of any possible consequencies provides it and the attacker uses it for fradulent activities.
