I agree with Sanjoy Sankar Guha that
no Bank can discriminate between its employees for acceptance or rejection under the VRS. However, many banks have included the discretionary clause endowing themselves with this right to reject of hightly qualified staff.
My question is if the banks cannot give a single paise more to these talented employees, or out-of-turn promotion, what right you have to deny them the windfall bestowed by the Govt, under some pretext ? All the aggrieved employees, whose VRS had been turned down by the respective Banks, have to form a common forum to unitedly fight a legal battle against the IBA/Bank Managements, as I am afraid that this issue will not be taken care by the Unions/Associations as I find that once you put in your VRS application, you become a nobody to these organisations.
