After the much hyped VRS scheme of SBI and all its rhetoric that it wants a younger age mix, and subsequently it is giving away laks of rupees just to get that. But at the same time SBI is recruiting hundreds of Probationary Officers every year. I myself being a PO feel really frustrated with the system and proceudres of SBI. And i feel i have made a blunder by joining a public sector bank. This hype that SBI and MoF generate about the work efficiency and productivity getting stepped up because of younger people is all devoid of substance just because the younger lot is really frustrated across the board. The old system still reigns supreme and all kinds of irrationalities such as rural postings,lack of opportunities etc mar the career in the bud itself.
I invite the views as to what you think after reading these facts.
