TOP INDIAN GOLFERS


India's Jeev Milkha won the Volvo Masters in Spain in October 2006. This was his second ever European Tour title and second title this season. Singh, picked up a cheque of $840,855 - the biggest by an Indian in an individual sport.

The win also meant that Indians hold both the Volvo Masters titles - Shiv Kapur won the Volvo Masters of Asia in December and Jeev has added the European chapter.

The 34-year golfer, who became the first Asian to win in Europe, also made a huge leap of 28 spots in the Eurpoean order of merit list and sits pretty at 16th.

Jeev Milkha has jumped 70 places to occupy 77th spot in the world rankings. Among other Indians, Indian Open winner Jyoti Randhawa is on the 105 spot while Shiv Kapur is on 203. Gaurav Ghei occupies 229 position and Arjun Atwal is on 245 spot.
