Theme of the Bankers' Conference 2004
"Indian Banking - Realizing Global Aspirations"
The Conference aims at addressing issues of topical interest facing the Indian banking industry, particularly, at a time, when the Indian economy is in a fast growth trajectory and the Indian Corporate Sector is in the globalisation mode. Backed by strong domestic performance, Indian banks nurture global ambitions, as in the case of the Corporate sector. With India predicted to emerge as a global economic power in the near future, the Indian financial system, particularly, the Banking Industry, will have to attain global standards.
