Department
The Policy Department
Bank is a highly structured organisation with a laid down policy for each facet of its operations. To ensure that the policies are made after due deliberation and in accordance with the laws of the land on one hand and regulations/guidelines prescribed by the Central Bank and other regulatory authorities on the other, every Bank maintains a policy department. Such departments manned by senior and experienced officials with the right academic background. Some Banks also recruit specialist officers like economists, chartered accountants, financial analysts etc. for this department.Depending on the size of the Bank, there may be more than one policy departments looking after the policy related to different banking activities.
