Bankers being custodians of public money, function in a heavily regulated environment. The
Head Office of a Bank is the seat of its highest policy making body called Board of
Directors and is primarily responsible to the Regulatory Authorities for meticulous
compliance of these instructions/regulations. The Board of Directors is assisted by
Functional Heads, who in turn, head their respective departments manned by experienced
